------------------------------------- Compliance Specialist Position Summary Assists in the development, implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures related to Federal and State compliance, branch and employee licensing, quality control and general operations of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of company policies, procedures.
Serve as a resource for mortgage regulatory matters and compliance-related initiatives.
Research of compliance and regulatory developments that affect compliance risk.
Gather and review mortgage loan documentation related to internal audit or external regulatory examination requests.
Complete monthly NMLS Call Report and HMDA LAR data audits.
Assist licensing department with individual and branch licensing requirements.
Review marking material to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and maintains historical log of approved materials.

Education and Experience
3+ years of Mortgage Compliance experience.
5-7 years of Experience managing state, federal and agency compliance examination.
Strong working knowledge of RESPA (Reg X), TILA (Reg Z), ECOA, HMDA (Reg C), FACTA, FDCPA, FCRA, GLB, and other federal and state laws and regulations applicable to mortgage lenders
Ability to maintain a knowledge of lending guidelines, investor programs, industry requirements, and industry changes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
Maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with co-workers and supervisor.
Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
Attention to detail and quality focused.
Encompass experience preferred.
