As our General Counsel, you will have the opportunity to provide legal counsel to the designated team members on various matters such as new and existing laws and legal rights. Daily Tasks:
Provide legal counsel to the designated team members on various matters such as new and existing laws and legal rights.
Develop influential relationships, mutual trust, and collaborative partnerships with all departments within the Firm.
Assess and conduct risk management and respond to critical issues as they arise.
Draft, manage and negotiate vendor contracts as necessary.
Manage litigation and investigations and collaborate with department heads on various matters.
Oversee and manage insurance coverages and compliance with California bar requirements.
Interpret and implement applicable state and federal laws, rules, and policies applicable to the Firm
Develop, implement, and review Firm regulations, policies, and procedures, and identify the need for policy development or change to protect the Firm’s legal interests.
Research and analyze proposed or implemented laws and regulations that might affect the Firm.
Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.
Your Skills:
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
Candidate must have a minimum of 7-10 years as an in-house/general counsel.
California licensed attorney in good standing.
Proven track record of high level of ethical standards in all dealings.
Demonstrated in-house experience advising and providing practical solutions to the executive management team.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and leadership skills.
The ability to exercise sound judgment and evaluate options fairly and quickly.
Outstanding negotiation and research skills.
Experience in personal injury is a huge plus.
