Capital Markets Associate THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION

 

This Lender is rapidly becoming one of the largest private money lenders for non-owner occupied commercial and residential properties in the United States. Brokers and real estate professionals love working with us because we offer competitive purchase, refinance, and rehab loans nationwide to real estate professionals. We have closed over one billion in loans in our short history – everything from Single Family Residential (SFR), fix and flips, to multi-million-dollar Brooklyn condo conversions, to refinancing multi-family rentals, to financing large apartment building.

 

They are looking for a Capital Markets Associate that will provide management of the Company’s Loan Sales effort which will include all aspects of sale management, reporting, and operations.

 

Associate Job Responsibilities:

  • Seamlessly and efficiently execute multiple weekly loan sale transactions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with loan buyers
  • Work with internal teams (sales, ops, accounting, finance) to develop effective loan selling process
  • Document loan sale operations policies and procedures
  • Manages responses to loan buyers questions/comments
  • Transaction status reporting
  • Liaise with Accounting & FP&A to facilitate reporting processes, proper controls, and cash flow forecasting
  • Work with operations managers and engineers to supplement and enhance LOS
  • Work with accounting in relation to warehouse facility utilization including operational setup and documentation review
  • Analyze various loan sale transactions and arrangements to determine optimal strategy based on internal goals and objectives
  • Analysis of market data
  • Attending networking and industry events
  • Coordinate work product with legal, accounting, regulatory parties
  • Prepare presentation and marketing materials including loan buyer diligence requests, warehouse lender meetings, and senior leadership / Board of Directors reporting

Education, Experience:

  • College degree required; MBA and/or CFA nice to have
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Master’s or four (4) years of experience with Bachelor’s in Structured Finance or Debt Capital Markets at an investment bank or credit hedge fund
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Advanced financial modelling and financial analytical skills
  • Team-oriented, positive, professional, strong work ethic and able to handle multiple projects/assignments at same time
  • Have a strong desire to learn debt capital markets and be knowledgeable about the debt markets
  • The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines
  • The ability to perform effectively in a team environment
  • High personal and professional ethic standards
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new situations
  • A strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork
  • A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts
