Marketing Director

Marketing Manager/Director- THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION


Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing digital and traditional marketing programs to help grow the company’s customer base, including borrowers, brokers, and affiliate partners. This role will manage customer acquisition and lead generation programs, as well as initiatives to improve customer retention. As a key part of the Marketing team, the candidate will work closely with the Chief Marketing & Technology Officer and other stakeholders forming a cross-functional team to design, implement, and track marketing initiatives.

This role requires competency using marketing automation software (Pardot) and other third-party technologies to support lead generation efforts. Key responsibilities will be the design, implementation and ongoing reporting of marketing campaigns to effectively nurture and engage borrowers, brokers, and affiliate partners. In addition, the candidate will be expected to help identify and recommend business-building opportunities to the Executive team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and guide the direction of the Lenders customer experience.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Evaluate, implement and track marketing campaigns to deliver leads, new borrowers and funded loans to desired metrics; optimize marketing and sales programs to deliver the desired ROI
  • Provide recommendations to optimize marketing programs and realize improvements
  • Evaluate ROI relative to first-touch attribution of new borrowers, brokers and affiliates at both the individual marketing campaign and lead source level
  • Manage the publication and distribution of regular marketing content, including email nurture campaigns, monthly newsletters, blog posts, trade articles, and ad hoc customer and internal communications
  • Maintain accurate files of all marketing invoices and monthly budgets, recording planned “working” and “non-working” expenses
  • Manage approved invoices with Finance Department to ensure prompt payment
  • Regular and ongoing sales support including preparation of campaign alerts prior to the launch of new campaigns
  • Prepare and support Loan Officers with marketing assets and sales collateral (customized landing pages, new product flyers, support for social media posts, etc.)
  • Manage Affiliate program including the development of customized marketing assets (landing pages, etc.) as well as overseeing monthly tracking and invoicing of qualified payments to affiliate partners
  • Manage the Broker program including development and implementation of customized marketing assets and the broker experience associated through the web and online portal
  • Manage the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) effort
  • Supervise the development and implementation of content and user experience enhancements to the company website
  • Work independently and collaboratively (frequently with graphic designers and freelance writers) to develop and deploy online content (articles, white-papers, infographics, video content, etc.)
  • Manage the logistics and support for both sales and marketing participation at conferences and trade events, including budgeting and managing costs for events
  • Manage the preparation and presentation and of webinars and presentations
  • Provide regular business updates and strategic recommendations to Executive team
  • Understand the Patch of Land brand and ensure a consistent, brand-appropriate messaging to a variety of constituents (borrowers. brokers, and affiliates)
  • Understand the SFR real estate investment industry and the impact the industry can have on the lives of our prospects, customers, and investors
     
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Relevant BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or related field
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, Hubspot, etc.)
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Familiarity with online presentations and meetings
  • Familiarity with email marketing best-practices and email nurture campaigns
  • Good analytical skills and comfortable working with with large data sets
  • Data-driven and iterative learning style
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • High energy with the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Bias toward action and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast
  • Lead changes to improve our organizational structure, execution, and systems
  • Take the initiative to contribute to ideas that drive business and improve organizational effectiveness
  • The focus will be on efficiencies and optimization, driving both technology and front-line employees to deliver a simple, human and delightful customer experience
     
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Writing experience (authoring articles for trade publications, newsletter/blog articles)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Salesforce and Pardot a plus
  • Knowledge and familiarity with WordPress
  • Familiarity with workforce collaboration software (Google, LucidChart, Trello, etc.)
  • Experience using major web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.)
