Paralegal or Legal Assistant (Discovery Experience)

Job Description:
Work with clients to obtain information, draft discovery responses with organized exhibits, submit to handling attorney at least 48 hours prior to deadline for review, implement attorney feedback
Bates stamp documents is a plus
Know when team needs to prepare and send supplemental discovery, prepare and serve supplemental and/or specialized discovery
Provide lit concierge service/updates to clients and providers on status of case
Coordinate with other staff to make sure we have all necessary records before preparing discovery responses
Supplement & amend discovery responses as needed
Follow up with clients regarding settlement release(s) and coordinate with counsel to finalize same
Draft requests for dismissal, coordinate deposit of settlement checks as received, request settlement checks, review settled cases, and send cases to liens if necessary
Prepare discovery and mediation binders
Assist with deposition preparation by compiling necessary documentation for the handling attorney
Understand calendaring and fill in for other staff as necessary
As needed, prepare documents for filing with the Court
Coordinate with outside investigators to obtain additional information, as needed and with instruction and supervision from attorneys

Bachelor's Degree preferred
At least 2 years of litigation experience required
