Are you a motivated litigator with a strong passion for seeking justice and helping individuals? You will have the opportunity to work with one of the top trial lawyers in California and his team, manage cases, litigate, take and defend depositions, mediate, and try cases.
We REQUIRE a minimum of five years of experience in employment civil litigation. Trial experience is not required but highly desired.
Your core duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of 40+ cases acting as the lead attorney through all aspects of litigation from filing through trial
- Developing case strategies
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Taking and defending depositions
- Overseeing discovery
- Engaging in settlement negotiations
- Acting as second chair in trials
- Maintaining client communication to provide updates on case progress
- Overseeing and directing Paralegal and other support staff
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in employment civil litigation.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California bar membership in good standing
- Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload and resolving cases for full value
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
