Our client is a reputable mortgage company seeking a Mortgage Training Specialist with experience in mortgage processing and underwriting. The ideal candidate will be equally skilled in live and virtual delivery, responsible for utilizing instructional design, and facilitating best practices to create and deliver a variety of learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training for new hire and existing employees in underwriting and processing.
  • Educate and train new hires in the company's processes and systems.
  • Design, refine and deliver new hire training and ongoing developmental training for our servicing teams.
  • Create leader and participant guides, job aids, training curriculum and other required coursework that is clear, concise, accurate and engaging.
  • Collect and analyze feedback for training courses and experiences with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Provide feedback and incorporate meaningful change to enhance future training for relevancy, comprehension, retention, and engagement.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and revise departmental procedures through process mapping.
  • Explore new ideas for improved workflow and automation enhancements.
  • Utilize a variety of training techniques/methods to meet the needs of a diverse learning population.
  • Support departmental initiatives and identify ways to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Training Dept. by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of front-end mortgage / loan servicing and loss mitigation experience training experience.
  • Ability to excel in execution, establish priorities, and meet swift deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The proven ability to successfully utilize interpersonal training and presentation talents and the support of technology and related tools (PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Must bring a self-starter, entrepreneurial persona with excellent time-management skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $54K to $60K per year
Location: Canoga Park, CA.
