Area Manager

This Lender is a leading nationwide mortgage lender and servicer. As a lender, they focuses on offering a breadth of industry-leading products, supported by a loan process that blends both human interaction and the benefits of technology into an unparalleled customer experience. Founded in 2008 and licensed to lend in 50 states, This Lender operates multiple lending channels, including Correspondent Lending, Wholesale, Direct-to-Consumer, Retail, and a network of joint venture partners. This Lenders servicing business consists of its performing loan servicing division,  and its special servicing division. This Lender also has several affiliates that perform various services in the mortgage and real estate industries. These include Avenue 365 Lender Services, LLC, a title agency, and E Street Appraisal Management LLC, an appraisal management company.
Primary Function:
The Area Manager is responsible for managing the Branch Managers in his/her area, including but not limited to training, tracking and improving employee performance, and administration of policy/procedures. The Area Manager is responsible for reviewing sales, collaborating with operations, and maintaining compliance in accordance with code of conduct.
  • Recruitment of new branches and loan originators
  • Manages the branches sales performance, motivation, scheduling, training, and administration of policies/procedures
  • Ensures originations team is presenting loans at appropriate rate, amounts, terms that comply with NR program guidelines
  • Reviews sales pipeline on daily/monthly basis in order to achieve monthly sales goals
  • Assists in training/development of loan originators to function in all aspects of loan originations and selling techniques in a sales environment with marketing-supported leads management
  • Works with the senior management to achieve team/department goals
  • Maintains personal and team compliance with the of Conduct
  • Collaborates with the Operations Department to assist in the flow of production/sales
  • Recruits, interviews and selects loan originators
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Four (4) year business or finance degree preferred
  • Must have proven success in managing a team with a minimum production of four million of self-sourced business in a Retail Branch environment
  • Must have proven extensive sales experience in the retail mortgage industry
  • Ability to provide supporting production documents and trends
  • Prior management experience
  • Relevant experience in selling mortgage products in the finance company/mortgage industry preferred

  • Keep informed of developing trends in the industry
  • Perform other duties as assigned by retail senior management
  • Ability to supervise workflow with focus on quality results
  • Ability to work independently
