Loan Processor (Fix & Flip Construction)

Job Description
  • Utilize professional judgement to determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization
  • Order appraisal once loan is deemed acceptable. Verify completion of appraisal/accuracy
  • Evaluate the application, credit worthiness, income and asset documentation, title information and the contract of sale to uncover inconsistencies and potential risk in the loan file
  • Work within established regulations and adhere to law requirements at all times
  • Perform initial appraisal of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their application
  • Give the “OK” to eligible candidates and submit required documents from client to underwriter
  • Enter/verify data in LOS. Data includes the status and required documents for the approval
  • Review and clear “prior to closing” conditions that have been identified as the underwriter’s responsibility
  • Communicate as needed with Client’s staff and customers
  • Processor must check internal systems to verify document completion by the request due dater
  • A minimum of 5 loans per day must be processed plus 3 loans retouched once conditions have been completed
Requirements
  • Able to work full time in-office
  • High School diploma; college degree in Business or Business-related is preferred
  • 2-3 years of recent Conventional Loan Processing experience is required
  • Experience with Decipher is a plus
  • Familiarity with computers and banking applications/ software
  • Basic technology troubleshooting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Common knowledge of underwriting terms
  • Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment
  • In-depth understanding of relevant rules and regulations
  • Proper time management
