Sr Business Systems Analyst

REMOTE - Pacific Time Zone, USA
JBA International is seeking the services of an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for a 6+ month Contract engagement. This is a remote position based in Pacific Standard Time Zone. The Business Systems Analyst will have a solid knowledge of database concepts and will work closely with the Systems Engineering team of developers and business stakeholders to document systems requirements, user manuals, and Quality Assurance test plans. 
 
What you will be doing: 
⦁ Accurate and prompt entry of time for all estimated and actual work.
⦁ Aid in solving complex business problems.
⦁ Assist in developing and executing QA test plans and scenarios.
⦁ Assist the project team with comprehensive level-of-effort estimates for all necessary changes and be accountable for completing the estimated work when applicable.
⦁ Become the subject matter expert and share their expertise on the systems and business supported.
⦁ Challenge conventional practices in a collaborative fashion. 
⦁ Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals. 
⦁ Communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely, and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner.

⦁ Design detailed data flow processes.

⦁ Estimate and establish timelines for small to medium efforts.

⦁ Interpret and explain business, functional, and technical requirements for specific applications to developers, quality assurance (QA) resources, managers, business leads, and clients.
⦁ Lead targeted engineering efforts.
⦁ Lead, innovate, and implement ideas to support growth/scale.
⦁ Learns and applies a fundamental understanding of key aspects of the business(es) supported.
⦁ Participate in staff recruiting efforts.
⦁ Perform complex estimating and requirements gathering efforts.
⦁ Possess big-picture understanding of the business and have the ability to challenge the status-quo.
⦁ Proactively mitigate risks.
⦁ Proactively seek, identify, and collaborate on innovative solutions.
⦁ Respond timely to all production support requests.
⦁ Review, analyze, design, and create detailed functional specifications of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop the target technical solutions.
⦁ Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug issues.
 
Qualifications you should have: 
⦁ Bachelor's degree in any discipline required.
⦁ Demonstrated complex database query skills.
⦁ Demonstrated experience of high-quality delivery in a BSA role for the full development lifecycle across several high complexity projects.
⦁ Demonstrated experience of high-quality delivery in a Software Engineering role for the full development lifecycle across several high complexity projects.
⦁ Established credibility as a subject matter expert in a particular area of focus (Technology, Industry, etc.).
⦁ Successful client-facing engagement experience.
⦁ Able to collaborate and work in a team environment; practices the principle of team over individual.
⦁ Continually strives to improve products and services.
⦁ Demonstrates appropriate judgment.
⦁ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
⦁ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
