Software Quality Engineer L3 Senior
 
Job Summary
  • The Senior Software Quality Engineer (Level 3) will have a solid knowledge of quality assurance and database concepts and will work closely with the Systems Engineering team of developers and business stakeholders to document Quality Assurance test plans and execute tests. Additionally, the Senior Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and guidance in testing and improving software solutions.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accurate and prompt entry of time for all estimated and actual work
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, best practices and standards
  • Adhere to deadlines
  • Aid in solving complex business problems
  • Leading development and execution of QA test plans and scenarios
  • Assist the project team with comprehensive level-of-effort estimates for all necessary changes and be accountable for completing the estimated work when applicable
  • Become the subject matter expert and share their expertise on the systems and business supported
  • Challenge conventional practices in a collaborative fashion
  • Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals

  • Develop complex database queries and perform analysis on results

  • Interpret and explain business, functional, and technical requirements for specified applications to developers, other quality assurance engineering resources, managers, business leads, and clients

  • Review and analyze detailed functional specifications of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop QA test plans and test cases
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug issues

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline required
  • Demonstrated complex database query skills
  • Demonstrated experience of high-quality delivery in a Quality Engineer role for multiple complex projects
  • Experienced in software development lifecycle methodologies, such as agile or waterfall
