The client is looking for candidates with onshore, across country pipeline experience. NO offshore.
 
Are you an experienced engineer in the oil and gas segment with a diverse background in pipelines and facilities- Are you located in Houston, but willing to travel as needed to other project sites around the country- If so, this is the position for you!

Our Engineers are expected to complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. Our engineers work in a team, on projects that may include Feasibility studies, FEED or full turnkey EPC opportunities.

In this role, you are expected to be experienced in all aspects of design, for both large and small diameter pipelines and related facilities, including experience in working with pipeline route selection, field survey, flow and pressure design, drafting/designers, right of way acquisition, permitting, preparation of specifications, preparation of construction contracts, permitting, including FERC permit requirements, bidding processes as well as management of construction projects.

We value project experience with cross country pipelines, gathering systems, gas and liquid measurement, treating, separation, dehydration, pumps and compressors, gas and liquid storage, codes standards and testing requirements. Experience in pipeline pigging and integrity management, design of major and minor water body crossings, as well as road and railroad crossing and permitting is also desirable.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 10-12 years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred with the ability and interest to also become registered in other states.

Must have 10 + years of continuously progressive experience with the design and construction of pipelines and related facilities

Excellent communications ability to interface with both team members, clients and contractor personnel

Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers and draftsmen
Ability to prepare accurate and understandable written communications and specifications.

Ability to interpret specifications and contract language

Ability to prepare accurate calculations for flow and pressure

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.

Must be able to pass drug and background check
