We are seeking a General Superintendent for a high-profile and complex heavy civil infrastructure construction project. The Superintendent will manage the activities of superintendents, craft supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure effective operations and productivity. The successful candidate will be well versed in labor and trade work practices and union requirements. Willingness to relocate to construction site location is expected.

Responsible for day to day planning and execution of the work.
Provides detailed scheduling of daily construction activities.
Monitors labor performance, manpower allocation, and effective use of tools and equipment.
Manages union relations, including the review and approval of requisitions for craft labor.
Understands and applies the company labor relations policies.
Ensures the use of sound construction practices to efficiently and safely attain deliver quality work.
Requisitions and assigns construction equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
Monitors subcontractor operations including enforcement of contractual obligations.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

? Proven leadership and supervisory capability.
? 20+ years of experience with a multidisciplinary self-perform heavy-civil contractor.
? Knowledgeable about means and methods for cast in place concrete and support of excavation, preferably in a union environment. Underground experience is a plus.
? Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
? Maturity in interaction with others and ability to operate independently in the field.
? Able-bodied as the work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; climbing ladders; and bending.
