Desktop Support

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide high quality support of all end user desktop systems in use across the company. This involves logging all requests and support issues, high level analysis of the problems to ensure the call is resolved by the best person within the IT team. 60% Desktop Support -40% Help Desk Support.
 
Other duties involved are:
  • Software installation, troubleshooting and support.
  • Hardware installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Basic desktop system administration tasks such as Password Resets and Account Unlocks.
  • Video Conference support
To be considered for this role you must have the following skills:
  • Hands on support experience with Dell desktop/laptop hardware, Windows 7 operating system and standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office 2013 (including. Outlook), Active Directory, Exchange, Acrobat and IE.
  • Structured approach to problem solving particularly under time constraints.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Experience in Market data application (Bloomberg) is desirable.
  • Experience in financial services desirable.
Education Requirements:
  • B.S. in Computer Science is preferred.
