Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other quantitative focus.
  • 4 + years of experience in two or more of these proficiencies:
    • Proficiency in administrating Windows 7/10 in an enterprise environment.
    • Proficiency in administrating Windows Active Directory Service and servers.
    • Proficiency in virtualization platforms, VMWare, Xen-Server, Hyper-V
    • Proficiency in mass application and image deployment methods.
    • Proficiency in general security principals, theories and practices.
  • Strong understanding of common network services, DHCP, DNS, FTP, HTTP, and SSH
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Strong understanding using Microsoft Office, more specifically Word, Excel, Visio and Project
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are recommended.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Windows 7 (MCSA) highly preferred.
  • The ability to self-serve, investigate and resolve issues. Self-starter attitude is a must!
  • Demonstrates and maintains an up-to-date knowledge of and ensures on-going compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as BSA, PCI-DSS, NCUA, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Be active/supportive participant in all service training.  Utilize tools as they are made available. 
 Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Build, maintain an alerting system (email, text, data base) for hardware, software, licenses, etc. pertaining to credit union systems health.
  • Manage and communicate projects and statuses around systems architecture in a clear and concise manner
  • Create and maintain documentation of the credit unions system topology, configurations, and inter-network dependencies; documentation involves Network Diagrams and Flow/Workflow charts.
  • Create monthly/quarterly reports of credit union system health.
  • Manage and maintain all operating system and application patches and updates.
  • Manage and maintain Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Anti-Spyware software, patches and updates.
  • Manage and maintain a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
  • Manage, maintain, and remediate vulnerabilities and vulnerability assessments.
  • Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
  • Provide prompt analysis and resolution of systems, network and equipment problems.
  • Provide emergency after hours support for mission critical systems as require.  Perform system upgrades and or maintenance after hours as required.
  • Participate in Organizational Disaster Recovery exercises.
Be an active/supportive participant in all services training.  Utilize tools, as they are made available.
