Description
​Prestigious Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join the Client Development team in our Los Angeles office. This role will assist in the coordination and execution of the Firm’s business development programs and initiatives. 

 The individual will report to the LA Business Development Manager and work closely with other Client Development team members globally.
 
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Increase LA office visibility through identifying speaking, writing and sponsorship opportunities for our lawyers.
  • Conduct and analyze client, prospect, industry and market research to help position lawyers in the LA market/community and support targeted initiatives.
  • Prepare new business presentations, proposals and RFP responses.
  • Create and maintain brochures, reprints and other marketing collateral.
  • Work with the senior team and practice leaders to develop and implement marketing plans for the LA office.
  • Build and maintain a flow of relevant information about planned business development activity via presentations, the intranet and team meetings to raise the profile of the LA office internally.
  • Draft submissions for directories and awards in coordination with other key team members.
  • Collect, organize and maintain client lists, industry experience and related matter data in the Firm’s experience database.
  • Work with the events team in the planning and execution of seminars, conferences and other Firm-sponsored events; act as on-the-ground support for LA office events.
  • Assist with the development of the Firm’s alumni relations program, including building relationships with alumni in LA.
  • Manage the office’s ticket process for client development, including maintaining a master calendar, communicating availability with LA partners, distributing tickets and liaising with stadium representatives.
  • Work with the CRM team to develop and maintain target mailing lists and client contact information for the LA market.
  • Maintain project calendars and work plans.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in an industry or professional services firm.
  • Interest in and ability to understand the legal/business environment, including industry and related practice terminology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and meticulous to follow through.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule according to workload demands, and evolve with position as required.
